Modders continue to refine the updated version of Half-Life Blue Shift.
Recently, the HECU Collective team introduced a major "Caretaking Update" for the Black Mesa Blue Shift remake. It improves the first chapters and "prepares the ground for further large-scale content."
Some improvements and new features:
- New scene at the end of Focal Point, it will become a smooth transition to the next chapter, Power Struggle.
- Added new voiced lines, animations, and minor details to all chapters.
- Significantly reworked the Focal Point chapter: including lighting, performance, combat, and atmosphere.
- Improved the quality of the soundtrack and sound design.
- Visual effects, models, and textures have been improved.
- Changed the balance of battles.
- Various technical improvements, physics optimization.
- Bug and script fixes.
Chapters 1-5 of the Black Mesa Blue Shift remake have already been published online.
