The developers decided to update some maps and the character Thatcher.
The creators of Rainbow Six Siege X talked about the upcoming Operation Tenfold Pursuit update. They decided to change one of the operators, as well as several maps.
They presented a "remaster" of Thatcher: the character has an updated arsenal — he gained access to the PMR90A2 (marksman rifle). The authors noted that he became "the first operator with four main weapon options."
Thatcher's EMP device has been improved: it has become a scanner-blocker that can detect and disable electronic devices within its range.
The developers have reworked the "Fortress" map:
It now has fewer corridors, the charge points are more balanced, the entry points for the assault squad have been improved, and the courtyard has become another zone from which to start the attack. With these changes, "Fortress" meets the [developers'] standards — and therefore returns to the ranked and ProLeague modes. In addition, several issues noted by players have been resolved.
The "Skyscraper" and "Amusement Park" maps have also received visual improvements, including improved shadows, lighting, 4K textures, and useful environmental items.
The release of Operation Tenfold Pursuit for Rainbow Six Siege X is scheduled for December 2.
