It seems Ubisoft is ramping up activity around the Splinter Cell franchise.
According to insider MyTimeToShineHello, the Splinter Cell project with live actors is back in development. The publication does not specify whether it is a film or a series, but apparently, Ubisoft is increasing attention to the brand and developing it in several directions at once.
In October, Netflix premiered the animated series "Splinter Cell: Echelon" by Derek Kolstad, which has already been renewed for a second season. And recently, it became known that David Grivel, who led the project in 2021–2022, has rejoined the development of the Splinter Cell remake.
It has been just over 12 years since the release of Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Despite all the interruptions and difficulties in production, the series remains one of the key franchises for Ubisoft, and the return of Grivel confirms that the publisher still intends to revive the series about the iconic agent Sam Fisher.
