Epic Games has introduced Unreal Engine 5.7, which addresses one of the most discussed issues of recent years. The new version significantly improves CPU and GPU performance.

According to tests on the Photorealistic Venice Tech Demo, with an RTX 5080 graphics card, GPU performance can increase by up to 25%, which reduces freezes and makes gameplay smoother. On processors, such as the Intel Core i7-14700F, the increase reaches 35%. Additionally, FPS stability has been improved, which is especially important for eliminating unexpected drops.

There are also minor improvements to visual effects: Lumen has become more stable, and reflections are more accurate. However, some technologies, such as noise reduction for certain light sources, still lag behind external solutions like NVIDIA's DLSS Ray Reconstruction.

It will take time for developers to implement the improvements in commercial projects, but Epic's active work is an important step towards high-quality graphics and stable FPS even on mid-range PCs.
