Blizzard is starting to gradually fix various issues.
In December, Diablo IV launched its 11th season, titled "Season of Divine Intervention." The launch was not very smooth, and the developers are releasing mini-patches.
Initially, some mechanics didn't work, and players lost access to the Vessel of Hatred expansion content — Blizzard introduced fixes:
- Fixed an issue where some items could not become sanctified.
- Fixed a bug preventing gifts from being received.
- Fixed an issue where some players could not access Vessel of Hatred content.
Then, another patch was released for Diablo IV, aimed at addressing a number of technical issues:
- Fixed an issue where players could lose access to divine gifts when playing on a local network.
- Fixed an issue where meteorites summoned by the Hellfire entity could reflect thorns damage back to the player.
- Fixed an issue where the property that increases the quality level of an item would not trigger correctly when sanctifying an item.
- Fixed an issue where the Sorcerer's "Flame Shield" enchantment would not activate when using "Claw of the Beast" if the skill was on the command bar.
- Fixed an issue where tormented gifts would not regenerate if the Helltide appeared in the same region as before.
- Fixed an issue where the visual and sound effects of the divine gift "Essence of Aberrance" persisted in the city (These effects have been completely disabled).
The Diablo IV developers also had to temporarily disable the corrupted aspect of "Essence of Hellfire" due to its interaction with meteors, which led to the death of player characters.
