The developers have big plans for EFT and beyond.
The head of Battlestate Games continues to communicate with journalists and others. Recently, Nikita Buyanov spoke with the streamer WELOVEGAMES and shared some plans, and also talked about his life.
Fans from the "Tarkov Metamovement" community highlighted some points, for example:
- Work is underway on a "full-fledged series" that will cover the prehistory of Tarkov, the events of the game, as well as the future of the universe.
- Battlestate Games is currently discussing "Tarkov 2.0" — this is not a full-fledged sequel, but a concept for future updates aimed at "improving the technical condition of the project, QoL changes and implementing a larger number of in-game and offline events."
- A graphic rework and the first addition, "Life of a Wildling", are being prepared, where you can build your own Hideout for the Wildling.
- Transparent weapon magazines will be added someday.
It is noted that "the hype at release was unexpected for Nikita and partly "rebooted" him as a developer", therefore, the head of Battlestate Games is determined to develop the potential of Escape from Tarkov for a long time.
