According to data from the German retailer Mindfactory, AMD controls over 91% of processor sales, leaving Intel with less than 9%. Rising RAM prices are forcing many users to choose older AM4 platforms with DDR4 to save money.

The Ryzen 7 9800X3D became the sales leader, while Intel's best processor — the i7-14700KF — sold only 20 times. AMD remains the leading supplier of processors for PCs and servers due to its high price/performance ratio, stability, and X3D architecture.

In the last week of the year, Mindfactory recorded an increase in AM4 sales — they accounted for 34% of all sales (715 units), while AM5 accounted for 57.45% (1210 units). The average price of an AMD processor decreased to €259. Intel sold 180 units (8.55%), with an average price of €248.

Buyers are looking for alternatives to expensive DDR5 and are choosing DDR4, as well as older processors that still work effectively. Among the sales leaders are also the Ryzen 7 7800X3D (170 units) and the Ryzen 7 5700X (160 units), which confirms the high interest in AM4.
