There are games in the world that remain almost незаметными in Western markets, but gather hundreds of millions of players in Japan, China, and Korea. One of these hits is preparing for an official release in the West.
We are talking about projects whose audience exceeds Fortnite, Roblox, Minecraft, and even Counter-Strike, but which are little known outside of Asia. Among them are Dungeon Fighter Online (700 million players), Crossfire (1 billion players), and Granblue Fantasy (over 30 million players). Attempts by some of these games to gain a foothold in the West have been unsuccessful: DNF and DNF Duel did not find a wide audience, Crossfire X was withdrawn from sale. At the same time, Granblue Fantasy Versus and Relink were able to attract the attention of Western players.
Now it has been officially confirmed that the original Granblue Fantasy from 2014 will be released on Steam. The release is scheduled for March 2026. The version is aimed at new players — existing Cygames accounts cannot be connected.
