The approach to developing the MMORPG has changed significantly.
ZeniMax Online Studios recently presented a new vision for the future of The Elder Scrolls Online.
For many years, the MMORPG developers released premium content (add-ons), but now they have decided to switch to a seasonal model: new content will be provided to all owners of the base version of TESO.
One season in The Elder Scrolls Online will last 3 months - each will offer a new theme and may contain:
- PvE challenges and PvP content
- New stories and quests
- New systems and events, as well as zones and "experimental content"
The creators of The Elder Scrolls Online have published a roadmap. The "zero" season is planned to launch in the spring - there will be a group event, a battle pass system, various rewards, and PvP progression.
