Kinetic Games is moving beyond development and launching its own publishing label for indie projects.

Kinetic Games, the studio known for the co-op horror game Phasmophobia, has announced the creation of a publishing division called Kinetic Publishing. The new label will focus on supporting independent developers at all stages of production, from funding to legal and marketing support.

Studio founder and head Daniel Knight said that the idea for his own publishing house grew out of personal experience. While developing Phasmophobia alone, he acutely felt the lack of support - and now wants to give it to other indie authors. According to Knight, Kinetic Publishing will work with a limited number of partners in order to give each project maximum attention.

The publishing division is headed by five key Kinetic Games employees, including Knight himself and Asim Tanvir, Director of Marketing and Partnerships, who previously worked at 2K, Konami and Zynga. Tanvir noted that the team plans to oversee no more than three projects at a time in order to stay focused and continue active support for Phasmophobia in parallel.
