On January 12, the Soviet Games studio presented "Everlasting Summer 2" - a sequel to the original visual novel, released back in 2014. Initially, players were happy with the announcement, but the public mood quickly changed to anger and indignation, since traces of the use of generative AI were noticed in the presented materials - for example, six fingers on the hands of the characters, shirts without buttons, and so on.
Soviet Games, in turn, claims that it did not use AI, supporting its statement with sketches demonstrating various stages of work on the art.
Dear friends! We understand that we upset you at the announcement, but in our defense we attach sketches - different stages of work on the art. And yes, a neural network was not used in the work on it, although at some point some of the heroines developed polydactyly.
