"We don't understand how this could have happened ourselves."
On January 12, Soviet Games studio presented "Everlasting Summer 2" — a sequel to the original visual novel released back in 2014. Initially, players were happy about the announcement, but the public mood quickly shifted to anger and indignation, as traces of generative AI use were noticed in the presented materials — for example, six fingers on the characters' hands, shirts without buttons, and others.
Soviet Games, in turn, claims that it did not use AI, supporting its statement with sketches demonstrating various stages of work on the art.
Dear friends! We understand that we upset you during the announcement, but in our defense, we are attaching sketches — different stages of work on the art. And yes, no neural network was used during the work on it, even though at some point some of the heroines developed polydactyly.
