Terraria 1.4.5 Update Gets Release Date - Game to Feature Collaborations with Dead Cells and Palworld
The three-year wait is coming to an end. A large amount of new content will be added to the game in January.
After three years of waiting, Terraria finally has a release date for its major update — version 1.4.5 will be released on January 27.
Update 1.4.5 will be the "last big step" for Terraria and will combine two crossovers at once — with Dead Cells and Palworld. In addition, the patch will add new types of weapons and armor, mounts, pets, and decorative items created by community members.
In addition, the game will feature new weather effects, improved shaders, reworked sprites, and a refined "smart cursor" system. The developers have also updated the user interface, added advanced character settings, reworked the crafting system, and improved NPC behavior.
Separately, mobile versions will receive improved touch controls.
Update 1.4.5 will be released simultaneously on all current platforms — this was one of the reasons for the lengthy development. The studio wanted to ensure a "unified start" for players on PC, consoles, and mobile devices, so that the entire community could start the adventure at the same time.
