Blizzard continues to release updates for HOTS.
The developers of Heroes of the Storm returned to the MOBA game in February 2026 and introduced update 2.55.15. Previously, players could test it on the PTR server.
Some changes:
- Now, in all tasks where effects are lost upon death, the player cannot lose already received rewards.
- Superior rewards have been renamed to epochal to better match the spirit of Blizzard. How epochal!
- Now structures primarily attack summoned creatures if there are no more warriors nearby.
- Summoned creatures no longer take half damage from structures.
- The sound of picking up an experience globe is now also played when killing a warrior, instantly granting experience.
- Updated music in the main menu and launch menu.
- Now the following summoned creatures lose health every second: tumors, minion demons, warrior demons, ghouls, ghouls, hydralisks, roaches, rock'et turrets, zombies from the "Zombie Wall" with the "Hustle of the Dead" talent, scarabs, ancients, ultralisks and water elementals. The total health and lifespan of the listed summoned creatures have been adjusted to account for this change.
A new skin has been added to HOTS — Cartoon Gul'dan. The developers also made changes to the battlefields and changed the characteristics of some characters.
