It seems Hangar 13 is preparing to make a new Mafia installment

Recently, Mafia fans have once again started discussing the possibility of developing a new installment in the franchise. The reason was a post by Emily Grace Buck on social media.

She announced that in June of this year, she will join Hangar 13 as a "narrative director for the Mafia franchise" (i.e., she will be responsible for the narrative/story). In this regard, gamers assume that the studio plans to make a new game.

Emily has worked for several years at DICE (EA Digital Illusions CE AB) as a narrative director for the Battlefield franchise. She also worked at Ubisoft Reflections and Telltale Games, for example, participating in the creation of The Walking Dead: The Final Season and Batman: The Telltale Series.

Earlier, the author of the YouTube channel Mafia Game Videos, which is dedicated to researching the franchise, drew attention to a number of "signals." For example, Hangar 13 studio recorded sounds for weapons (presumably for a full-fledged remake of Mafia II), and in one interview, the game director admitted the possibility of developing new games.
