"We are very sorry": Valve sympathized with players who could not buy Steam Controller before speculators

The Valve gamepad went on sale at the beginning of the week, but after a short time, the device completely disappeared from stock – users (mostly resellers) bought it up faster than the company itself expected.

Valve admitted that interest in the controller exceeded all forecasts. In an official statement, company representatives noted that they regret that not everyone who wanted to purchase the device was able to do so in the first wave of sales.

At the same time, the company assured that it is already working on replenishing warehouse stocks. New information on the timing of the next batch's arrival will be available soon.
