Amazon has picked up on the industry trend of showing high-profile series finales on the big screen.

The finale of "The Boys" will be shown in cinemas before its release on Prime Video. The final episode of the fifth season, titled "Blood and Bone," will be released in 4DX theaters on May 19, one day before its official premiere on Prime Video. The final episode will appear on the streaming service on May 20.

For now, this is a special one-day screening only for the USA and Canada. The 4DX format involves motion seats, vibration, wind, water, scents, and other effects designed to enhance the viewing experience.

Thus, Amazon has picked up on a noticeable trend of recent years, where the finales of major series are taken beyond streaming. Previously, Netflix released the finale of "Stranger Things" in cinemas. Russian platforms have also adopted this practice, showing not only the final episode but also the entire final season.

It is possible that this time, individual Russian networks will try to arrange similar screenings of "The Boys" finale, but there is no such information yet.
