The Sims 4 Developers Expanded Character Editor and Backup Save System
Players will now have more options to revert saves in case The Sims 4 breaks.
The Sims 4 developers have prepared a major May update for the game. It includes not only fixes for over 150 bugs, but also free new features and improvements.
A playmat for infants called "Goo-Goo" has been added to the base game. It can be found in Build Mode, under the "Kids' Room" category (in the "Infants and Toddlers" section).
A new accessory category has appeared in the Create-A-Sim editor:
"Base Layer" will make your Sims' outfits even more diverse, and will also help them dress for the weather, cover bare skin areas [...] Adults have 8 base layer options, children have 4, and toddlers have 2. And all of this in different shades and with different sleeve lengths! In total, there are over 380 options.
Maxis has also expanded the save backup generation system in The Sims 4, which can be used to restore the game's state before undesirable events.
Previously, the game automatically created save backups based on the last five game sessions, and in May, three more types of backups were added:
Now the game will create save versions from a day ago, a week ago, and a month ago. If you log into the game 6 times a day, you will not only have backups of that day's versions. You will also be able to revert to older versions.
An in-game event for the "Bridgerton" series has also started in The Sims 4.
