The Witcher 3 to get an expansion for the fan-made Ciri mod "Dawn over Kovir 2.0"
Fans continue to support CD Projekt RED's game.
May marked the 11th anniversary of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. CD Projekt RED has yet to announce the long-rumored Ciri expansion, but the modding community has become more active.
Modder Fandera announced that the unofficial mod-DLC “Dawn over Kovir” will receive an update. Version 2.0 is in development, conceived as a large-scale expansion of the mod, and will include a new Geralt storyline, an expanded Kovir and Poviss location, improved quest design, localization, voice acting, and other significant enhancements.
The project roadmap with approximate plans:
The current version of “Dawn over Kovir” includes a complete Ciri storyline, several locations, and full text localization in Russian:
This is a fan-made quest expansion for The Witcher 3, dedicated to Ciri after the events of the main game. Hunting monsters, the witcheress increasingly finds monsters not in forests, but among people. Disillusioned with humanity, she balances between compassion and rage. Can Ciri master her anger and not become a monster herself?
The “Dawn over Kovir (New Questline for Ciri as a witcheress)” modification for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available on Nexus Mods.
