A new Steam update hints that the wait for Valve's PC will soon come to an end.

Valve has taken another step towards launching the Steam Machine. As noted by Steam analyst and researcher Brad Lynch, on May 29, an interactive welcome tour for device owners appeared in the digital store's backend. The company usually adds such training scenarios shortly before the release of new hardware.

Previously, a similar tour for the new Steam Controller appeared online on April 1. Just 25 days later, Valve revealed the gamepad's price, and on May 4, it went on sale. If the company maintains this pace, a full announcement of the Steam Machine's release date and cost could happen in June, with the release itself as early as July 2026.

The main question remains the price. Amidst the recent price increase of the Steam Deck to $949 for the 1TB OLED version, analysts do not expect mercy. Mat Piscatella from Circana suggested that the cost of the basic Steam Machine version could easily break the four-digit mark and be around $1200, although due to the unstable market, accurate predictions are difficult to make.
