During Summer Game Fest 2026, a remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica was unveiled, a title that fans of the franchise had long requested from Capcom.
The new version of the classic has been renamed to simply Resident Evil Veronica. The game is being actively added to wishlists, and recently the remake's developers announced that it has been wishlisted over one million times.
In honor of this, the Resident Evil franchise's social media account posted a congratulatory message and promo art:

After the debut demonstration of Resident Evil Veronica, the developers held a private event for the press. During their communication with the media, they revealed some details about the upcoming remake. According to incoming reports, the creators plan to make changes to the story structure of Code: Veronica.
