The main star of Summer Game Fest 2026 named - analysts identified the leader by wishlists

Some fans have been waiting for the announcement of the Resident Evil Code: Veronica remake for many years.

Many diverse games were presented at the Summer Game Fest 2026 event. Analysts decided to study which games are most frequently added to wishlists.

Resident Evil Veronica — a remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica, quite expectedly, attracted a lot of attention. According to available data, the game has already accumulated about 522 thousand wishlists on Steam — by this indicator, it is #1 among all projects from SGF 2026. According to analysts, Veronica "gains wishlists 1.5 times faster than Requiem" at launch.

In second place by wishlists is Guild Wars 3 — the MMO was added to wishlists 435 thousand times.

The top three is rounded out by 1666 Amsterdam from Panache Digital with 383 thousand wishlists. The development studio for this project is headed by the famous Patrice Désilets — creator of games from the Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia franchises, as well as Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey.
