The mobile game narrowly missed the all-time record set in 2021.

Pokémon GO recently celebrated its tenth anniversary, and to mark the occasion, a global GO Fest 2026 was held in the game, which for the first time did not require a ticket purchase to participate. During the event, players could encounter over 60 legendary Pokémon and battle Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y for the first time. All participants received up to nine free raid passes daily, but it was precisely this that seemingly prompted many players to buy additional ones to conduct even more raids.

As a result, the mobile game earned approximately $28.8 million over the holiday weekend, and in total, Pokémon GO's revenue on the App Store and Google Play reached $96.1 million in the first two weeks of July. The peak occurred on the first day of GO Fest 2026 – July 11 – when users spent $15.1 million. According to analytics company AppMagic, this is the project's best daily result in the last five years and the second-best in the game's entire history.

Pokémon GO set its all-time record on July 18, 2021, when daily revenue reached $17.4 million. The new figure was approximately 15% lower, but the comparison only includes payments made through the App Store and Google Play. The Pokémon GO web store only appeared in 2023 and is not included in AppMagic's statistics. Therefore, taking into account purchases through the official store, the current GO Fest could well have been the most profitable day in the game's history, although this cannot be verified without Scopely's internal data.
