"Don't fall for it": Bethesda Union criticized Fallout 5 announcement and reminded of studio's problems

In July, Bethesda Game Studios made several announcements related to the Fallout franchise. Remasters, a new project from Obsidian Entertainment, and Fallout 5 are in development.

The announcement caused a mixed reaction within the team. The studio's union criticized the management. According to the dissatisfied, it is intended to distract attention from the problems in the studio.

These announcements were made against the backdrop of a new round of layoffs at Microsoft (Xbox); the cuts also affected the Bethesda Game Studios and Obsidian Entertainment teams.

The union urges not to forget what happened. Its representatives expressed doubt that the reduced teams would be able to implement all projects:

The timing for these kinds of announcements is chosen deliberately. How are they going to make all these games if Bethesda and Obsidian have collectively laid off hundreds of employees? Don't fall for it.

All these new Fallout announcements were "paper": Bethesda Game Studios simply published its statement on social media. The developers did not show trailers/teasers or concept art. No specific release dates were announced.
