Blanka vs. Ryu: Legendary Showcases New Clip from Street Fighter Adaptation

The creators of the new "Street Fighter" have brought the characters' iconic moves to the big screen.

The creators of the Street Fighter adaptation have released a new clip featuring a fight between Ryu, played by Andrew Koji, and Blanka, played by Jason Momoa. The full battle is not shown, but viewers can see the characters' classic moves – Blanka's electric shock with an X-ray effect and Ryu's signature "hadouken."

The film is set in 1993. After years of feuding, Ryu and Ken Masters reunite thanks to Chun-Li, who invites both to the World Warrior tournament. Behind the competition lies M. Bison's conspiracy, forcing the former friends to confront each other and their own pasts.

Ken is played by Noah Centineo, Chun-Li by Kallina Liang, and the main villain is portrayed by David Dastmalchian. The film will also feature Roman Reigns as Akuma, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson as Balrog, Orville Peck as Vega, and others.

The premiere of "Street Fighter" is scheduled for October 16, 2026. The film will be released in regular cinemas and IMAX.
