Steam is giving away the roguelike "Moonlighter" about a brave merchant, but the launch didn't go as planned
Players had to wait while the developers fixed the issues that arose.
The release of the full version of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is approaching, and Digital Sun studio decided to draw additional attention to the project with a promotional campaign.
The developers announced a giveaway of the first part on PC on Steam:
If you don't already own the original Moonlighter (or have friends who haven't played it), you can grab it on Steam for free until August 9th! Keep it forever and embark on Will's original adventure! If you love beautiful pixel art and classic SNES-era Zelda games, now is the perfect time to dive in!
However, a problem arose: the promotion started with a significant delay. Players had already criticized the developers in the comments. However, as of the evening of August 5th, the problem was resolved – the game can now indeed be claimed for free. The Moonlighter page on Steam is available at the following link.
From a gameplay perspective, it's an action-RPG with roguelite elements: players go on raids for loot as a merchant, and also engage in trade – displaying items and setting prices themselves.
