The heroine may debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe even before the new "X-Men" is released.

Journalist and insider Jeff Sneider said on The Hot Mic podcast that Marvel Studios is considering Susie Wokoma for the role of Ororo Munroe, known as Storm, in the "X-Men" reboot. The actress is known for Yorgos Lanthimos's "Poor Things" and "Kandisha," as well as the series "Homecoming."

According to Sneider, "Black Panther 3" director Ryan Coogler may have joined the search for the actress. The reason is that Storm is rumored to first appear in the third Black Panther film, and only then join the main cast of "X-Men."

There is no confirmation of this information yet, but such a scenario is consistent with the fact that both films are expected in 2028. In addition, Storm's connection to Wakanda has a basis in the comics: Ororo Munroe was in a long-term relationship with T'Challa and was the Queen of Wakanda.

The "X-Men" reboot will be directed by "Thunderbolts" director Jake Schreier. Marvel has not yet announced the cast or premiere date. The first official details may be revealed at D23, but the studio has not confirmed the content of the upcoming presentation.
