Rockstar reminded GTA VI actors not to talk about their involvement after one of the roles was revealed - insider.

Recently, the famous American actor Stephen Root stated during an interview with the media that he took part in Grand Theft Auto VI.

Root previously appeared in "No Country for Old Men" and "Barry," and in GTA VI he was cast as Bryan Heder. The developers describe him as an illegal goods dealer who "moves cargo through his boat station with his third wife, Lori, but now others do the dirty work for him".

Players then assumed that the actor violated the NDA (non-disclosure agreement), as developers usually hide information about actors' involvement in a project until its release. It seems that this statement was indeed not pre-approved by Rockstar Games — information has emerged that the game's creators have started sending out letters reminding them about the NDA's validity period.

The GTAvice community drew attention to the release of the GTA VI O'Clock podcast. Host James Jarvis said that Rockstar Games sent letters to actors who worked on GTA VI, reminding them about the NDA:

According to the host of GTA VI O'Clock, this notification means that before the game's release, one should not expect materials about the actors in the spirit of "how they got into the project".

The release of Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for November 19, 2026, currently only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. However, thanks to a leak, PC gamers were able to get "GTA VI at home" — now they are studying an old version of the map from the new part of the franchise.
