SAW: Genesis postponed - horror game to be released in early access only in 2027
SAW: Genesis will not be released in 2026. After testing, the developers have postponed the start of early access to the first quarter of 2027.
A few days ago, Anshar Studios allowed players to test SAW: Genesis before its release. After this, the developers decided that a release in the fourth quarter of 2026, considering the expectations of fans of the more than 20-year-old franchise, was unrealistic.
The authors explained the postponement by their desire to improve the game and listen to player feedback.
Our ambition from the very beginning of working on the game was to create a project in the 'Saw' universe that would be worthy of its legacy and the fans who have followed the franchise for decades. That is why we take the quality of the game so seriously and want to dedicate as much time to it as needed.
The developers added that in recent months they have received a lot of positive feedback, as well as specific comments that will help improve individual elements of the game and its performance.
