Konami plans second and third waves of Silent Hill: what is known about the plans
Konami is preparing new games in the Silent Hill series and is already considering several projects after the release of the three previously planned installments.
After the success of the Silent Hill 2 remake in 2024, Silent Hill f was released, and in September 2026, Silent Hill: Townfall was released. Series producer Motoi Okamoto stated in an interview with Famitsu that the company is pleased with the results.
All three games that we originally announced have been successfully released, so we feel relieved.
He also noted that the projects received many positive reviews.
The successful release of the first wave brought enormous relief, but we are not going to stop there. We need to think about the second and third waves. We cannot disclose details, but we are currently considering several projects.
Last year, Konami announced its intention to release approximately one Silent Hill game annually, although Okamoto doubted that the company would be able to maintain such a pace. Meanwhile, Bloober Team is working on a remake of the first installment of the series.
The latest game to date was Silent Hill: Townfall, released on September 24 for PC and PS5. According to Steam statistics, its launch was weaker than previous installments.
