Players quickly found an approach to TQ2, and the developers decided to take action.
Recently, the authors of Titan Quest 2 introduced the "Minor Update 1" update. It includes a number of balance changes.
The developers noticed that some build options in Titan Quest 2 are too effective:
«Our goal with balancing in this update is to address some build options that make the game easier to a degree we didn't intend.
Overall, our approach to weakening is to never "overdo it". Abilities should be interesting and perform as prescribed. We just want them to be more in line with their intended purpose».
The developers clarified that they do not plan to focus only on weakening certain elements:
«On the contrary. We are looking at skills and playstyles that are ineffective and will be buffing them in future updates».
Balancing focuses on: Ice Shards, Overload, Bleed Ailment, also affects One-Shot builds — (almost) killing bosses with one hit will no longer be so easy.
