007 First Light came about thanks to Daniel Craig's head with the body of a famous killer — the developers explained how they presented the project idea
The developers took a creative approach to demonstrating their ideas.
IO Interactive, known for the Hitman franchise, recently showed gameplay of 007 First Light — a game about a young James Bond. Now it has become known how the creators received approval to develop the project.
As it turned out, a very effective presentation was organized for the franchise owners using assets from Hitman and the image of the actor from the film.
Head Hakan Abrak said that the developers modeled Daniel Craig's head and "put" it on the body of Agent 47 from Hitman; in addition, to demonstrate their ideas, they also used the "Sapienza" level — they considered it an ideal example to show gameplay in the style of "social stealth":
"[the rights holders] saw in us what we wanted to convey — we strive to create a complete gameplay experience, where there is not only shooting and cutscenes [...] but also the opportunity to show another part of Bond, when he is in social spaces, where he uses not only his fists, but also his charm, bluff and finds different ways to overcome obstacles or get what he wants"
