Ironhide Games is preparing to release the first game in the Kingdom Rush series with a focus on battles between players.
Ironhide Game has revealed the release date for Kingdom Rush Battles: TD Game — the new chapter in the long-running tower defense series. For the first time in 14 years, the franchise will abandon the strictly single-player format: Battles will offer a full-fledged multiplayer mode with duels between players.
Kingdom Rush Battles will be the seventh game in the series and the first project focused on PvP. Players can expect fast one-on-one duels in which they will have to not only defend but also attack. The task is to destroy the enemy's defenses while maintaining their own. Battles will require instant decisions and precise timing: you will need to calculate resources, choose the moment to call in reinforcements, and use spells wisely.
The game will feature 18 towers — from classic archers to eccentric scientists. There will be 11 heroes and 9 spells to choose from. The deck mechanic will remain, so players will have to experiment with combinations of units and skills.
The maps cover nine locations: from forests and mountains to a stadium, where, according to the description, the hottest battles will unfold. Among other things, Kingdom Rush Battles includes 30 types of enemies, six bosses and 26 wave modifiers, as well as a ranking system, temporary events and cosmetic items.
The release is scheduled for October 9, 2025. The game will be released on mobile devices running iOS and Android. Pre-registration is already open on Google Play and the App Store.
