Players of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, who were looking forward to an updated version of the iconic RPG, are increasingly expressing their dissatisfaction.
Developers are not fixing serious performance issues. On Steam, the project's rating has plummeted to "mixed."
Among the main complaints are sharp fps drops and extremely long loading times. According to many users, the game worked better at launch. An additional blow came from reviews that new patches do not improve the situation, but worsen it.
Dissatisfaction is also fueled by poor communication from the developers. Players complain that they do not understand whether to expect updates and how significant they will be. Bethesda's silence only fuels the tension.
There is also another sore point: mod support. For the TES community, this is a crucial element that allows extending the life of the game. But in the remaster, serious difficulties have arisen with mods, which devalues the project in the eyes of fans.
The main question now sounds like this: will Virtuos and Bethesda take on fixing the situation, or is the game already written off for good?
