With the release of Black Myth: Wukong on Xbox on August 20, players encountered numerous technical issues.
The action RPG Black Myth: Wukong arrived on Xbox Series X/S a year after its release on PC and PlayStation 5. However, at the start, users encountered a "blurry" image, quest errors, and performance drops. Developers from Game Science have released an update that fixes some of these problems.
Patch 1.0.20.21518 fixes global illumination errors on Xbox Series X, which caused the game to look blurry in "Quality" and "Balance" modes. Crashes, control issues, and bugs that interfered with the completion of side quests have also been fixed.
The YouTube channel Fuzion Xbox Testing published a video demonstrating gameplay and FPS metrics after the update. Judging by the reviews, performance has indeed improved. At the same time, some users continue to criticize the visual quality on Xbox Series X.
It is important to note that the graphics improvements in the patch only apply to the Xbox Series X version. The Series S did not receive similar graphics optimization. Given the difference in performance between the consoles, the timing of a possible update for the Series S remains unknown.
