The Game Kitchen has fixed bugs and added new settings and content to Ragebound.
A month and a half after the release of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, which brings the iconic series back in 2D format, Dotemu and The Game Kitchen have released their first major update.
The patch affects all versions of the game and includes a number of new features, improvements, and fixes. Special attention has been paid to the Switch version — an option to switch between 30 and 60 FPS has appeared in the settings. However, the developers recommend activating 60 FPS only on the Switch 2 console.
A CRT filter that simulates the image on CRT screens has appeared in Ragebound on all platforms. The game also has the ability to restart from the last checkpoint. Now the player does not need to intentionally die in order to replay a difficult section or start a new attempt in a boss fight. In addition, the difficult mode can now be unlocked at the very beginning if you defeat Ryu Hayabusa in the introduction.
The story content has also been expanded — new dialogues have been added to levels S-4, S-5, and S-6. Additional parameters have appeared in the accessibility section, including disabling the hit stop effect and screen shake.
Dozens of bugs related to the combat system, cutscenes, interface, camera, and visual artifacts have also been fixed.
