The developers of the science fiction role-playing game Exodus have released a video in which they shared new details about their upcoming project.
- The main sources of inspiration for the developers were Mass Effect, Horizon (for the ability to use various elements in combat) and Metroid Prime (themes of loneliness and exploration)
- The player's main tool will be the so-called "Refiner". It works like a "flux capacitor" from the movie "Back to the Future", allowing you to collect debris and materials to create resources or turn it into other types of weapons
- Enemies will change as you progress through the storyline: on the home planet of Lydon, players will find simple opponents, human factions and robotic guardians of the Celestials, protecting ancient technologies. The further into space, the scarier the opponents
- Side quests play an important role and are not "filler" - they will help you delve deeper into the universe, develop relationships with companions, improve your skills and "find cool stuff"
- There are many approaches to each mission: you can burst into battle with weapons at the ready, sneak in unnoticed, or resolve the conflict through dialogue. The developers are focusing on variability, connection with the world and satisfaction from using the tools chosen by the player
- In the process of passing, players will find ancient and high technologies of the ancient Celestials. These artifacts will force you to choose how to use them for the progress of humanity.
