The developers decided to revise some familiar elements of the mechanics and improved optimization.
Counter-Strike 2 developers are back with a major patch. Valve has proposed a number of significant technical changes that will affect the gameplay.
Now, when defusing the bomb, the first-person weapon model will be lowered, preventing the sniper scope from being called. In addition, after stopping the defuse, there is now a 150 ms delay for shooting.
Some other changes:
- Engine code updated to the latest version of Source 2.
- Reworked bullet penetration simulation to reduce CPU load.
- Improved core utilization when the client processes certain particle effects and sound effects to reduce overall CPU load during shooting.
- The location of the context menu in the inventory is now tied to the cursor.
- Raindrops are now removed from weapons when inspected in a dry place.
- The bomb no longer detonates during the break between halves of the match and after it ends.
