Some worlds have become deserted, and the developers are not happy about it.
The popularity of Dune: Awakening is gradually declining, and the number of players on some servers has significantly decreased.
Funcom studio has decided to shut down less popular servers:
Starting with patch 1.3.10.0, we will launch the process of character migration and merging of sparsely populated official servers. Arrakis is beautiful when the desert comes alive, social hubs are bustling, the Exchange is active, and player cooperation and competition in the Landsraad are at their peak. Our data shows that player retention and enjoyment of the game are maximized in a thriving world. Increasing population density will make it easier to find allies to explore complex content or enemies in the Deep Desert. We will publish a complete list of the affected worlds in early March — you will have time to prepare.
Some community members are concerned about the fact that the authors of Dune: Awakening are going to shut down servers. There are also users who disagree with the developers' vision — they think that not very populated servers are not so bad, they are quite happy with a world that is not built up with other people's bases.
