After seven years of support and over fifty updates, EA is bidding farewell to The Sims Mobile.
The Sims Mobile has lived a long and eventful life, but now its story is coming to an end. Electronic Arts has confirmed that the update released on October 20th was the last in the project's history. On January 20, 2026, the game will be permanently shut down: access to the servers will be disabled, and the application will no longer launch.
Since October 20, 2025, players can no longer purchase premium bundles or make in-game purchases. As a farewell gift, the developers have included unlimited energy so that users can complete ongoing projects and calmly enjoy the last months in the game.
The Sims Mobile will be removed from the App Store and Google Play on October 21st. It will not be possible to create a new account, but those who have previously downloaded the game will be able to continue playing until January.
Before the closure, the developers will hold a series of themed events — Eerie Autumn Festival, Sweet Treat Showdown, Wumple’s Wishlist quests, and other festive activities. The full schedule is published below.
From January 6, 2026, all items from the construction and character creation modes (Build Mode and CAS) will be automatically unlocked for all players. This will allow you to freely build houses and edit Sims without level restrictions.
After January 20, 2026, The Sims Mobile will become unavailable, the servers will be shut down, and all saves will be deleted. Refunds for unused in-game currency are not provided.
At the same time, another mobile project in the series, The Sims FreePlay, will continue to operate and receive regular updates.
