An enthusiastic fan was able to give the developer an idea and inspire its implementation.
Recently, developer shin-yeo noticed one of the reviews of his game Fading Afternoon. He was "very touched" by the Russian-language review from user Eliere Idle — he really liked the game, but it lacked some details:
[...] I saw all or almost all the endings, got the platinum, and then for dozens of hours I got hooked on the Rumble mode, where I just beat the crap out of Japanese thugs. I've been coming back to the game for a whole year for this. I am now in the top twenty players, according to the Rumble mode leaderboard. I don't know if I'll stop coming back to this game, my love for it is indescribable. You can also criticize the game a little. Personally, I miss the winter and autumn backgrounds in Rumble mode. And I would like more arenas in this mode, because there are significantly more of them in this game (office, train, etc.). That's all the cons for me.
shin-yeo responded:
Thank you so much for such a review! [...] I'll add seasons and other arenas, I don't remember why I didn't add everything, maybe there were some limitations.
The developer kept his word and presented an update for Fading Afternoon: in Rumble mode, the ability to select any location that the player visited in story mode has appeared; you can set the season and time of day; various character customization options are available.
