Developers have not fixed the technical issues.
After the high-profile launch of The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion Remastered, several patches were released to fix various bugs. However, the developers then went silent.
The last update, 1.2, for the Oblivion remaster was released in early July. A player with the nickname switchkick562 recently started a discussion:
Is the next Oblivion Remastered update simply not coming out? The game has been sitting on the "digital shelf" for a long time, I'm waiting and hoping for a new update with quality of life and performance improvements, but it seems like they've just abandoned the project. Are there any hints or mentions?
Some players mentioned that they were expecting a patch to coincide with the game's release on physical media, but the developers didn't present anything.
Users like RandyMuscle have already completed the main storyline and have now put the game aside until "they fix the stuttering" (the graphics use the Unreal Engine 5).
The lack of patches is affecting the rating of TES 4 Oblivion Remastered on Steam: recent reviews have fallen into the "mixed" category (rating 56). Nevertheless, overall reviews are still holding in the "Mostly Positive" category (77%).
