The developers have made the project as player-friendly as possible. The authors stated that Duet Night Abyss has no gacha system — characters and weapons can be unlocked through regular grinding, without microtransactions. There are also no limits on daily progress, which has become the norm for most free-to-play games.
The developers plan to generate primary revenue only from the sale of costumes and cosmetic items. If the model works, it will be a serious blow to projects like Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves.
Of course, everything looks ideal in theory, but practice will show how fair the monetization will be — this is always a controversial issue in such games.
Duet Night Abyss has been released on PC and mobile devices. On PC, the game can be downloaded via the Epic Games Store or from the official website (the "PC Download" section at the bottom of the page). The Steam version will be released later — the release on the Valve platform is scheduled with a delay.
