Battlefield 6 developers have announced that the aim assist system for controller players will be weakened. At first glance, the "nerf" means a deterioration of the function, but in practice it should make aiming more comfortable. Many users complained that the current assist "interferes with aiming" and you have to "fight with the scope".

"Target stickiness will be reduced, rotational inertia that existed before will be removed. Smooth deceleration will appear when aiming without sudden jerks."
EA Design Director Matthew Nickerson

At the same time, the 25% recoil reduction remains unchanged, but in the future it is planned to further adjust other aspects of the system to make shooting as accurate as possible.

Many players will note that weakening the "stickiness" actually improves the situation, especially when there are several opponents on the screen and the crosshair can be drawn to the wrong target.

The exact release date of the update has not yet been announced, but according to Nickerson, work on the system is in full swing, and new aim assist improvements will appear very soon.
