The authors of Wreckfest 2 continue to actively develop the game and have released a major update, Content Update 4.
It introduces a new tool called "Crap-it," which allows for detailed changes to the paint and body of cars. These changes are visible to all participants in multiplayer. Tire physics have also been improved, and a new track, Crash Canyon 2.0, has been added.
The update includes not only cosmetic improvements but also a new vehicle: a lightweight buggy. The developers have reworked the graphics, increased performance, reduced video memory usage, and improved shadow rendering. The sound component has also been updated: cars now sound more realistic thanks to the reworking of many effects.
Wreckfest 2 is still in early access, and Bugbear studio has not announced an exact release date for version 1.0. Currently, the game's average rating on Steam is 77%.
