Games Workshop has kept its promise and fully presented the cooperative board game Warhammer Quest: Darkwater for 1-4 players, set in the Mortal Realms.
In this game, along with brave heroes, people will have to fight Nurgle's minions in the infected ruins of the Jade Abbey. The entire story, consisting of three acts, can be completed in 10-14 hours.
The box contains 49 plastic miniatures. The heroes available will beDrolf Ironhead,Edmark Valoran,Bren Talis,Inara Sion, Keltanor, who worships the hunter god Kurnoth, Drasher Vorn - the leader of the tribe of werewolves from Gur, who worship the aspect of the Everqueen, Jacobus Vane - a jade mage traveling with an embittered owl and a forest spirit-fox named Whisper.
Adventurers will have to crush bosses such as Gelgus the Empty, Prince of Pustules, Belga Cystwitch - former high priestess of the Jade Abbey, Mulgoth Cleaver - a faithful servant of the Empty, shaman Foulhoof (Dirty Hoof) - head of the Pestigor herd.
Heroes will be able to meet the Poxborn - huge and incredibly tenacious demons, the Blight Templars - mighty mortal warriors of Nurgle, the Pox-Wretches - blind worshipers of Nurgle who use smell and taste to track down targets, Pestigors - beastmen, and Bog Kelpies - cursed spirits.
The kit also includes a 38-page hardcover map book that unfolds on the table instead of a game board or tiles. The book has 18 maps, each occupying two pages: they turn into scenarios thanks to the cards that players draw before the mission - so they can be used repeatedly.
In addition, the box contains 14 Warhammer Quest dice, a 36-page rulebook, a quick start guide, 61 cardboard tokens, 341 cards, and 12 card boxes to save progress between sessions.
