Sony hasn't forgotten about the mobile segment and is ready to bring one of its most recognizable franchises to new platforms.
Sony Interactive Entertainment and French studio Oh BiBi have announced a new game in the Ratchet & Clank universe for mobile devices.
Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble is a fast-paced multiplayer arena shooter that emphasizes high speed and mobility, where players can control different heroes from the series.
The events unfold in a simulation created by Captain Qwark, who is looking for a new generation of rangers. You can play alone or join random teams, or assemble your own squads with friends.
Ranger Rumble features several modes: an eight-player battle royale, a 3v3 "killer football" mode, and a PvPvE format for six players where you have to survive by fighting for resources with monsters, bosses, and other users.
The description on the game's Google Play page specifies that the "battle royale" will be available for free, which likely implies unlocking the remaining modes through in-game purchases.
Ranger Rumble is currently available as part of a test launch through the App Store and Google Play in several Southeast Asian countries. When the game will be available worldwide is not specified.
