The creators of Ikai are back with a new psychological horror.

Endflame, the studio known for the Japanese horror game Ikai, has unveiled a new project — Silent Road, a first-person psychological horror game set in a remote forested region of Japan. The protagonist works as a night taxi driver in a place notorious for its high mortality rate and rumors of paranormal phenomena.

The player will find themselves behind the wheel among abandoned villages and misty mountain passes, transporting mysterious passengers and fulfilling their unsettling requests. Each trip turns into a separate episode, revealing the personal tragedies of the region's inhabitants and bringing them closer to unraveling the curse that looms over the area.

The developers describe Silent Road as "a journey into the depths of human fear and guilt." With each new ride, the passengers become stranger, the roads colder, and the atmosphere denser and more unsettling. An ordinary night shift gradually turns into a psychological nightmare, where the line between reality and the supernatural blurs.

The game is being created on Unreal Engine 5 and will be released on PC in 2026. You can add the game to your "wishlist" on its Steam page.
