After the unsuccessful launch of Splitgate 2, Studio 1047 Games announced Splitgate: Arena Reloaded. The game will be released on December 17 on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and PS4, and will be free-to-play. The project will combine the "best" of both games.
The main innovation is the disappearance of factions and abilities. Players will be able to freely customize equipment and play on equal terms without restrictions. Included are Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Gun Game, and Shotty Snipers modes, six reworked arenas, and five new ones.
Three new primary weapons, one new special weapon, an updated ranking system, and a progression system with rewards for each match have been added.
Art Director Josh Watson stated:
Splitgate has always been a tribute to the arena shooters we played. We rebuilt the game from the ground up, took the best of Splitgate 1 and 2, removed the unsuccessful elements, and improved what worked.
A mini-documentary about the development of Reloaded will be released on December 9, 2025.
