With the implementation of the idea in OD Knock, everything may not go smoothly.
Recently, players noticed a new interview with Hideo Kojima published on Ananweb. The developer shared his thoughts on future games — Physint and OD Knock.
Speaking about OD Knock, he doubted that everything would turn out as intended:
Based on the trailer, it may seem like a typical horror game, but in reality it is something that has never been seen before. I can't say exactly what it is yet, and I'm not sure if it will be possible to implement it as intended [...] in this project we are trying to change the system itself — to do something different already at the level of the service form, so this will be an extremely bold and risky attempt. There are many clues hidden in the trailer — if you think about them for a long time, you might figure it out.
Speaking about another project — Physint — Kojima spoke about his desire to work with specialists from the world of cinema. In this project, the developers want to blur the line between film and video game:
This is a spy game, so I can do it even in my sleep *laughs*. For example, there is a soldier, he penetrates the object, if he is noticed — an attack begins, and when you need to eliminate enemies one by one, he acts stealthily. Whatever happens, it is already interesting in itself and relatively easy to implement. But that is the challenge. The game will feature new mechanics, and we will try to blur the line between film and video game. I want to work not only with actors, but also with the film crew — specialists from the world of cinema. I wonder where this will lead. The world is changing very quickly now, and perhaps the social structures and themes that I am going to show in the game will come to life in our reality sooner.
